The Mac is in the shop

I had to take the Mac in on Tuesday. I tried to do the Tiger upgrade and got a disk error. The only solution was to erase everything and reload from scratch. I didn't feel comfortable doing that and the Apple Store will do it for free.

I am going to get it this afternoon.

Yeah, I had the same problem when upgrading -- the disk utility was unable to fix some stuff.

To manually fix the errors, you would have to run a manual "fsck" from a boot-to-terminal screen.

(side note -- i couldn't wait to upgrade to Tiger even though it was 2 days before my first final -- big mistake!! -- I almost started crying after the disk error popped up -- luckily, nothing broke and I got Tiger installed)
